Speech Therapist- Speech Language Pathologist

Job Responsibilities As a Speech Therapist for Dynamic Rehab, you will evaluate hearing or speech and language test results, barium swallow results and medical or background information to diagnose and plan treatment for speech, language, fluency, voice and swallowing disorders. You will also write reports and maintain proper documentation of information, such as client Medicaid and billing records and caseload activities, including the initial evaluation, treatment, progress and discharge of clients. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Providing monitoring and educational programs to staff
  • Creating, administering and organizing individualized plans of treatment for patients
  • Inputting the charges for services provided to patients in our computer system
  • Instructing clients in techniques for more effective communication, including sign language, lip reading and voice improvement
  • Educating patients and family members about various topics such as communication techniques and strategies to cope with or to avoid personal misunderstandings
  • Communicating with the dietary department in regards to rehabilitation lunches for patients with swallow dysfunctions
  • Participating in workshops and in-service meetings with staff
  • Maintaining records and documentation on the patients
